It is one of the best places to go during summer season but I also prefer it as the top destination during christmas season for its extreme cold temperature that I don't experience elsewhere in the Philippines. A wide variety of places to go to, it will surely hit your expectations. Although I have Ilokano blood, I have not been to baguio for almost a decade already!
How to go to Baguio
Go to Victory liner located at Cubao, the ticket fare is 445 pesos. My ride started at 7pm, It is about 6 hours travel time with several really nice exclusive bus stops.
On the end of your trip, a guy from baguio tourism will approach you and will offer a hotel accommodation. they offer several budget hotels around baguio, so in case that you don't have any hotel to stay yet, he can help you with that. In my case, since we arrived in Baguio at around 2am, I decided to grab the offer from him instead.
Walking around the streets of baguio feels safe, extremely different from walking around cubao or edsa. I started my day walking around the Burnham park. You can take great pictures in this place especially panoramas, the views are great and relaxing. Here's also your chance to taste the strawberry taho.
after that, I went to the the Our lady of the Atonement Cathedral, ask anyone on how to go to session and I recommend you take a walk so you can experience a walk on the busiest street of Baguio. after that Go to SM Baguio, make your may to the top floor, hunt for the best food outlet with the best view. If I remember it right, Bonchon has thr best view. .
Then it is up to you where to go on your next few days of stay. Enjoy!
Notes
Be sure to check Ketchup Food Community and start you food adventure in that little place, it is near the wright park.
Going back to manila? I suggest you take Victory liner again. Other bus lines don't make bus stops.
